Vertical Strike Control (High / Centre / Low)
Learn to land impact high, centre, or low on the face on purpose. Vertical strike changes launch, spin, and distance even when swing speed stays the same.
Low on the face is a thin shot, high on the face is typically a fat shot catching the ground too early, therefore a low point issue too.
Low point control is the skill of managing where the club reaches the bottom of its arc relative to the ball. Great iron players consistently (with an iron):
- Contact the ball first
- Control how much turf (or mat) is contacted
- Can move the low point forwards or backwards on purpose These challenges train awareness and control — not swing positions.
