Tee Height Strike Test
Improve driver strike quality by learning how tee height and swing bottom influence strike location on the clubface. This trains low point as well as attack angle. With a driver we want a low point behind the ball with an upward attack angle.
- Drivers perform best with slightly high-face strikes.
- Low-face strikes often produce spinny, weak shots.
- Tee height and low point control strongly influence strike location.
- Many amateurs tee the ball too low or have a steeper downwards angle of attack. If you sky the ball (club comes off roof of the club and goes straight into the air) you need to learn to hit up on the ball ball opposed to down. A higher tee forces you to do this.
