Irons - Distance Window
Learn that max yardages aren't as important as you think for approach play. Gain more control of your distances by feeling how to make a certain club go a certain distance without hitting it as hard as you can. Who cares if you "CAN" hit your 7 iron 195 yards... what is a comfortable controlled distance you can hit repeatedly with a consistent strike rather than in 1 shot out of 20?
- Lose your ego
- We have one job and only one job in golf. That is to get the ball in the hole in the least strokes as possible. I don't care what club you have to hit to get a ball 100 yards or 150 yards, your playing partner doesn't care either. Use the club which can easily get you on the green given the lay of the land and you will hit more greens and score better.
